In Kazakhstan ULPA “Internet Association of Kazakhstan” initiated “Namys doda” (Big race) professional awards. “Namys doda” is a contest for determination of the best sites, events and persons of the Kazakhstani segment of internet (Kaznet).

On December 8, 2011, ULPA “IAK” held the round table regarding “Secure World Wide Web of Kazakhstan: aims of the society and business”. The meeting took place at 9:30 AM, in Almaty, “InterHotel Astana” (“Kurultai” hall).

The press-conference about development of the Kazakh section of the global open encyclopedia Wikipedia took place on November 2, 2011 at 10.30 a.m.

On October 18, 2011 the National Bank of RK approved of the “Rules of issue, use and repayment of e-money, and requirements to e-money emitters and e-money systems in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

On October 15, 2011 in the territory of Astana the stuff of the Office for intellectual property, Astana Department of justice together with the stuff of the Astana Department of internal affairs, special unit “SOBR” DVD of Astana with information support of “STV” held joint check on revealing illegal distribution of counterfeit audiovisual products at the territories attached to markets, trade centers, etc.

Helsinki document dated 1992 (Chapter IV) appealed to the increased exposure of OSCE activity and expanded role of NGOs. In point 15 of Chapter IV participating states decided to cooperate in nonofficial meetings among representatives of participating states and NGOs at the OSCE meetings, as well as render support to NGOs arranging seminars on the issues connected with OSCE.

We did it! ULPA “Internet Association of Kazakhstan”, “Kazakhtelecom” JSC, “Kazcontent” JSC with participation of the Ministry of communications signed the program that allows the socially useful resources located at third-party hosting platforms (not only Kazakhtelecom) be available to users of Megaline and ID-Net without regard to traffic.

On July 20, 2011 in Almaty (113 Baitursynov street, corner of Satpaev street, “Interhotel Astana” hotel, Kurultai hall) ULPA "Internet Association of Kazakhstan"supported by Ministry of Culture RK and Kcell company holds Round table on the theme "20 years: ways of development of the Kazakh language in Internet".

On July 15, 2011 Almaty hosted the extraordinary meeting of the members of ULPA “Internet Association of Kazakhstan”. The new members are approved of, the president and vice-president of the Association is elected, a number of organizational issues are settled.
