Role of JSC Kazakhtelecom

One of the main members of the Association made a leading telecommunication operator JSC Kazakhtelecom. JSC Kazakhtelecom is working hard to increase the attractiveness of the Kazakhstan segment of Internet. Astana and Almaty established Internet Data Centers (IDC).

It is planned to build the IT infrastructure at IDC over Kazakhstan. The company began offering hosting services under the brand ID Host (www.idhost.kz). Focused and active support of JSC Kazakhtelecom development of Kazakhstan's Internet in 2008 gave the first tangible results. For the first time there was a change in the imbalance of internal and external traffic. In early 2008 the share of domestic traffic in the consumption of services to subscribers of «Megaline» (individuals) did not exceed 10%, in December, this rate exceeded 56%. In March 2009 the figure was 59,1%.
