In Kazakhstan they plan to create hot line and site on combating distribution in network of materials propagandizing extremism, drug addiction, violence, pornography. This was announced today by the Internet association of the state at the conference in Almaty.

- 34 % of Kazakhstani people use Internet. The WORLD WIDE WEB involves in its networking. This global village, as people named Internet, has different residents, good and bad. The latter are the sites that propagandize terrorism, extremism, violence, drugs and child’s pornography.
The following issue was the basic on the agenda of the round table held in Almaty “Place and role of non-governmental organizations, business and state in combating distribution in Internet of content propagandizing extremism, terrorism, drug addiction, pornography, cruelty and violence”: Development of Kazakhstani internet as information environment secure for all users.
According to different data the number of internet users in Kazakhstan exceeds 6 million people. So, it was proposed to create public hot line and site www.safekaznet.kz,where users can direct messages about internet resources containing materials with propaganda of drug addiction and pornography.
Internet will have censorship. In Kazakhstan they plan to create anonymous hotline that will work in network and on the phone.
Each user will be able to send message about sites containing materials with propaganda of drugs, violence and other prohibited themes. All this information will be checked by experts. The next step is transfer of data to the police, blocking and closing of sites. This method is practiced in Russia and states of Europe. Today in Almaty service providers, representatives of the Ministry of information, General Prosecutor’s Office and Parliament decided how to introduce it.
Very soon each user will be able to become a censor sifting out Internet in search of extremists or pornography. There are created hotline and site www.safekaznet.kz receiving users’ messages about illegal content in Kaznet.
Internet Association of Kazakhstan supported by the Ministry of communication and information, deputies of Parliament and members of “Nur Otan” party held round table in Almaty.
In autumn 2011 in Kazakhstan will appear the hotline number at site www.safekaznet.kz. People will be able to inform about web sites containing illegal content, informs correspondent of Tengrinews.kz.

The meeting was visited by the leaders of number of non-governmental organizations, representatives of internet resources, service providers and deputies of Mazhilis. The aim is to assist in development of Kaznet as informational environment secure for all users, and, primarily, children.
ULPA “Internet Association of Kazakhstan” intends to open hotline receiving messages of users on illegal content.
“The project is designed to give possibility to each citizen to inform about the facts of law infringements in internet through internet or via hotline”, said the acting president of ULPA “IAK” Vladimir Turekhanov on Monday in Almaty during the round table “Place and role of non-governmental organizations, business and state in combating distribution in Internet of content propagandizing extremism, terrorism, drug addiction, pornography, cruelty and violence”.
IAK together with the Ministry of information and communication of Kazakhstan held in Almaty the round table with participation of representatives of state bodies, deputies of Mazhilis heads of popular internet recourses service providers. They discussed issues of combating distribution in internet of content propagandizing extremism, terrorism, drug addiction and violence.

One of the main sources of information is internet as global means of communication providing access to information behind the territorial borders. People use internet both to distribute and receive information, exchange files, and today it is possible to get education and make payments through the world web.
